GRETEL KILLEEN
is now on board at
KEVM
One of Australia's most recognized personalites, GRETEL KILLEEN was a regular on everyone's TV screen for seven years as the host of one of the most controversial shows in the history of Australian television.
Writer, presenter, humorist, producer and director - Gretel's biography makes you feel that you've been just plain lazy in your life. She's done everything from writing and directing a documentary on AIDS orphans in Zambia, to fishing for piranha in Bolivia, to performing for the troops in Iraq and is currently a columnist for The Sun Herald - oh, and has had over 20 books published.
But what has all this got to do with voice work? Well her incredible energy and zest for life, combined with her voice acting and performance skills on stage and behind a microphone combine to make her someone you'll just love working with in the studio.
Kathy Evans represented Gretel in the early years of her voice-over career and is very pleased to now have her on the team at KEVM - just click on Gretel's photo to take listen to her new voice demo.
A Gruen Transfer winner
With the Federal election so near it was no surprise that Andrew Denton and his mob at The Gruen Transfer should come up with the perfect pre-election format for the show - Gruen Nation.
ANT NEATE voiced the winning pitch commercial for agency Freeform, with the first show attracting a record of just over 1.5 million viewers. As Gruen's PR release said: "Gruen Nation aims to be Australia's bullshit detector. It will run an X-ray over the campaign, decoding and deconstructing the messages from all sides. Where other programs will focus on policies and personalities, Gruen will do what it does best: lift the lid on how we are sold."
Boutique agency Freeform created an attention-getting spot for the Liberals which the Gruen panel seemed to think was much better than the real campaign commercials to air - but you can be the judge by checking it out now on our Latest TV Tracks page on our website, just click on Ant's pic here.
