Casting Notes: Paul is now old enough to talk about red wine, and cheese. And olives! He loves them now, but remembers how bad they used to taste – so teenagers think he’s cool too. Sometimes he helps them graffiti. Only nice words of course.
As a kid Paul mucked around with frogs, cars and jumping off the garage roof. That's why he's a great story teller of mis-spent youthful days. Now he’s first at the pub to brag to his mates about how his footy team is the best in the comp, even if they are coming last. When the pub’s closing, Paul is the mature, sensible, and thoughtful designated driver... who left his keys at home... on purpose. Whoops.
His brain is a lot like a car engine – interesting design, but no-one really knows what’s going on inside. He can give the strawberry in a smoothie commercial a voice AND a personality. A talking kangaroo one minute, a broad-smiling, honest-to-goodness lad the next.
You hate that show on television. Seems pointless doesn’t it. But Paul told you to watch it..... Ok you’ll give it one more chance. Maybe it isn’t so bad. Now you love it. Thanks Paul, now you’re hooked on another silly TV show.
Paul once told me that uni students need to grow up..... as we sat on a roller coaster. Is there a word for mature yet immature?
A hot mug of English breakfast tea with scones, followed by a frosty beer, also with scones. Serious or silly – either way his voice is making me hungry.
Be careful, in a voice session Paul may just try out some of his new stand-up jokes on you. Of course if you don’t laugh, he’ll say it was just off the top of his head. Look at his hand, I bet there’s writing on the back of it.
His cupboards are filled with old video games, all of which Paul conquered. His fiancé wants them thrown out, but Paul convinces her to give him a 3 month extension..... every 3 months.
Aussie Aussie Aussie – Oi Oi Oi.
Paul once set up a lunch with a brickie’s laborer and an insurance broker. They became the best of friends!
