Bob Peters is one of the Stars of the Ten Network, but not on the screen. He's the voice between the screen.
He spooks us into believing the boys of "Supernatural" will be back from the dead next week, thrills us with the chase of "NCIS" and adds sauna loads of sex to the already hot and sweaty "Californication".
If he can do all that in the time it takes to say "coming up next on Ten....." get ready to be suitably gob-smacked when he gets his hands on your 30-second commercial, a longer narrative or even a character voice script.
His vocal abilities can bolt male strength onto any subject. Should your car be missing a V8 engine, Bob's voice will provide the necessary grit and steroid power to boost the sell and rev up the excitement.
But it's not all Gillette Triple Blade toughness and work-horse utes with Bob - at the end of the day when they're looking for volunteers to entertain the kids with a funny hat, Bob from the back is shouting "pick me". It's because Bob's voice hints at the action, activity and adventure in store for them. The dirty, grimy, slimy blobs of friendly fun that children love to see in a DVD or a toy.
He's just the right amount of announcer to get the job done and just the right amount of thermo-nuclear voice magnet to draw your attention to every word he says.
